Tras este paso fluye por compartimentos llenos de resinas de intercambio i\u00f3nico que eliminan iones residuales como sodio, cloruros, calcio y bicarbonatos. Se aplica un voltaje que separa los iones atrapados en la resina y los dirige hacia membranas selectivas.
